How To Make Oats Roti?

  • Take half a cup of rolled oats and blend to get a fine powder.
  • Add oats powder to whole wheat flour.
  • Add in some ghee, sprinkle salt to taste.
  • Keep pouring water as required and knead a soft dough.
  • Using a rolling pin start making oats roti.
  • Place roti on a hot tawa and cook on both sides.
  • Serve hot.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
  • Salt To Taste
  • Ghee For Cooking
  • Water For Kneading

Step

  • Step 1 :

    In a blender, add rolled oats and pulse to get a fine powder.

  • Step 2 :

    In a bowl, add whole wheat flour, oats powder, salt to taste and some ghee.

  • Step 3 :

    Mix all ingredients well.

  • Step 4 :

    Keep adding in water as required and knead into a soft dough.

  • Step 5 :

    Keep the dough covered for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Step 6 :

    Divide the dough into equal portions.

  • Step 7 :

    Start rolling each portion and cook on a non-stick tawa.

  • Step 8 :

    You can cook the roti as is or use ghee to fry it a little till the colour changes to golden brown.

  • Step 9 :

    Once well cooked, take off flame and serve hot with a curry of choice.
