Here’s an easy and quick makhana chaat recipe for when you’re craving a healthy and tasty snack:

  • Gather one bunch of coriander, ten to fifteen mint leaves, four cloves of garlic, half an inch of ginger, half a lemon, two green chillies, and one tablespoon of raw peanuts.
  • Add one-fourth cup of water and all the ingredients into a blender and blend till it reaches a smooth consistency of a green chutney.
  • Take a pan over medium heat and add one tablespoon of ghee.
  • Once the ghee is melted, add three cups of makhana and sauté it for five to six minutes.
  • Next, add half a teaspoon of chilli powder, chaat masala, and salt to taste the makhana while sautéing it.
  • Add one and a half cups of yoghurt to a bowl and add one tablespoon of powdered sugar to it.
  • Add the sautéed makhana to the yoghurt and mix well.
  • Pour the mixed yoghurt-makhana mixture into a bowl and add the green chutney. You can also add date or tamarind chutney, a pinch of salt and black pepper, black salt, and roasted cumin powder.
  • Lastly, add the chopped onion and tomato, sev, pomegranate pearls, and coriander leaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bunch Of Coriander

  • ½ Lemon

  • ½ Chopped Tomato
  • Handful Of Sev
  • Handful Of Pomegranate Pearls

Step

  • Step 1 :

    Add coriander, mint leaves, garlic, ginger, lemon, green chillies, and raw peanuts into a blender with water and blend till it's smooth into a green chutney.

  • Step 2 :

    Add 1 tablespoon into a pan over medium heat.

  • Step 3 :

    Next, put 3 cups of makhana into the pan and roast it for 6 minutes.

  • Step 4 :

    Add half a teaspoon of chilli powder, chaat masala, and salt to taste into the pan.

  • Step 5 :

    In a bowl add 1 1/2 cups of yoghurt and 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar with the roasted makhana.

  • Step 6 :

    Mix well and pour it into a big bowl.

  • Step 7 :

    Add the green chutney on top and a pinch of salt and black pepper, black salt, and roasted cumin powder.

  • Step 8 :

    Add the chopped onion and tomato, sev, pomegranate pearls, and coriander leaves.
