Have guests coming over or want to make something nice for lunch or dinner? Then this recipe would be perfect!
Add cashews, red chillies, tomatoes, cinnamon stick, cardamoms, cloves in a pan and pour water enough to cook the tomatoes til they become pulpy but cover and let it cook.
Once cooked, let it cool down and then blend it all in a mixer or food processor.
Now, heat some oil in the pan and add the bay leaf to saute for a minute.
Next, add in the onions and saute till they turn golden.
Add the ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw fragrance goes away which shall take around two minutes.
Now pour the tomato puree that we made with other spices and add to the pan.
Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix and fry for 3 minutes.
Cover and cook until the gravy thickens.
Pour water and sugar and mix well. Keep the heat on medium until the gravy thickens and the oil separates. Do not forget to adjust the salt and sugar.
Add kasturi methi, green chilli and paneer and mix well.
Lower the flame and cook for 2 minutes.
Now add in the cream and coriander leaves, mix.
Turn off the stove and let it stay for 5 minutes covered.
Now serve the paneer with naan, roti or rice.
