Ingredients

  • 2½ cups grated Dhoodhi or lauki
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 10 chopped cashew nuts
  • 10 chopped almonds
  • 10 raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Step

  • Step 1 :

    Peel and grate the lauki and squeeze out a;l the water.

  • Step 2 :

    In a pan, heat ghee on medium flame and then add the grated lauki.

  • Step 3 :

    Saute the lauki for a few minutes and keep stirring.

  • Step 4 :

    All the condensed milk and the regular milk and bring the entire mixture to boil.

  • Step 5 :

    Once it has boiled, lower the flame and cook till the milk gets absorbed, which will take 15 minutes and stir occasionally so that it does not stick to the pan.

  • Step 6 :

    Next, add the chopped nuts and raisins.

  • Step 7 :

    Stir occasionally and let the moisture evaporate. Let the mixture thicken.

  • Step 8 :

    Once done turn off the flame and add the cardamom powder and mix well.

  • Step 9 :

    Serve in a bowl.
