Dussehra or Vijaydashami is one of the most awaited festivals of the year. The festival marks the victory of good over evil and the celebrations are incomplete without enjoying some homemade sweets. Agree?
So, today, we thought of bringing you an easy sweet recipe which can be prepared at home using just a few ingredients. Peda is an Indian sweet which is usually enjoyed during festivities so what better making them at home this season.
How To Make Kesar Peda?
- In a bowl, add some warm milk and soak saffron or kesar strands in it. Keep aside.
- In a pan, add cream and milk powder. Mix well.
- Stir till the mixture turns into a thick batter like consistency. It usually takes 10 to 15 miunutes.
- Next add sugar to the pan as per taste. Keep stirring.
- Sprinkle cardamom powder and mix again.
- Also add the saffron strands milk mix and combine well.
- Add some ghee next to bring all the ingredients together. Once the mixture leaves all sides, it is ready.
- Take off flame and cool.
- Make small balls from the mixture, flatten and garnish with chopped almonds or pistachios.
- Serve.
