Ingredients For Sundubu Jjigae

Sundubu Jjigae

3-5 meat pieces/ seasonal vegetables (your choice)

1 packet tofu

1-2 tsp Korean chilli powder

2 spring onions

1 egg – optional

3-5 garlic

1 tsp sesame oil

1 cup water

1 tsp salt

1/2 black pepper

How To Make Sundubu Jjigae

1. First cut the vegetable/meat into small pieces. Now in a medium-sized boiling pot add the vegetable/meat, garlic, Korean chilli powder and sesame oil at a medium flame.

2. Stir fry the vegetables/meat now until they are almost done.

3. Add water to it, then boil it for three to four minutes. Now take the foam out.

4. Add the soft tofu now in medium big pieces. Stir in the vegetable/meat by adding salt and black pepper. Let it cool for some time till everything is cooked properly.

5. Finally, add some finely chopped spring onions or an egg to the stew before serving it.

6. Serve hot with rice and kimchi.
