How To Make Rava Kesari
1. Heat 1/4 cup of ghee in a pan. Once it gets heated, add a few almonds and cashew nuts, and roast them until golden brown. Transfer the roasted nuts to a separate plate.
2. In the same pan, add 1 cup of rava and roast it until it turns golden brown or until you get a nice aroma. Keep stirring continuously to avoid burning.
3. Add 3 cups of water to the roasted rava, and mix well without forming lumps. Cook the mixture for a few minutes until the rava absorbs all the water and becomes soft.
4. Now, add 1 cup of sugar and mix well. Ensure that there are no lumps. Add a few saffron strands and a tsp of cardamom powder and mix again.
5. Keep stirring the mixture until the sugar dissolves completely, and the mixture starts leaving the edges of the pan.
6. Now, add the roasted dry fruits and mix them well with the rava kesari.
7. Turn off the flame and let it cool. Rava Kesari is best served warm.
Your delicious Rava Kesari recipe is ready to serve. You can garnish it with a few nuts and saffron strands to make it look more delicious. Enjoy this sweet and fragrant dessert with your loved ones on Karwa Chauth.
