How To Make Chicken Makhani:

Chicken Makhani

  • To make Chicken Makhani first, we need to marinate the chicken. So in a large bowl, combine the chicken, yoghurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, chilli powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15-20 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Now heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn soft. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute more.
  • Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and black pepper powder. Cook for 1 minute more.
  • Add the tomato puree, heavy cream, and chicken marinade to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. To make sure that the consistency is not too thick, add some water to the mixture. Bring it to a full boil.
  • Now add coriander, butter, and kasuri methi and stir for some time. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the dish to a serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves and cream. Serve Chicken Makhani with naan or basmati rice.
