How To Make Dahi Bhalla At Home?

Sanjeev Kapoor has shared the Dahi Bhalla recipe on his YouTube channel as well urging people to try the same at their home for Holi. Follow the steps to make this easy Dahi Bhalla at home:

Step 1: Take black grams in a mixer jar and blend with a little water until it is smooth.

Step 2: Transfer the batter into a bowl, add salt and whisk well.

Step 3: Add cumin seeds and raisins into it and mix well.

Step 4: Add gram flour and mix it well.

Step 5: Now heat oil in a kadai for frying.

Step 6: Dampen your fingers, drop a small amount of the batter into the hot oil and deep fry it until golden brown.

Step 7: Take water in a large bowl and add asafoetida to it.

Step 8: Now soak the bhalle in the water for a while.

Step 9: Now put yoghurt in a muslin cloth and squeeze the excess water out of it to make it smooth.

Step 10: Add sugar and salt to the yoghurt and mix well.

Step 11: Squeeze out excess water from the bhalle and put it into the yoghurt mixture and let them soak for a while.

Step 12: While serving, break the bhalle slightly and put it equally into 4 serving bowls.

Step 13: Sprinkle a little black salt, a little roasted cumin powder and a little red chilli powder. Drizzle green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney and some of the yoghurt remaining in the big bowl.

Step 14: Sprinkle some more red chilli powder and serve immediately.

  • 1 cup split skinless black gram
