Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves

Step

  • Step 1 :

    To prepare this healthy and delicious paratha recipe, start off by mixing flour, salt, and oil in a bowl. Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough. Make small balls out of it and roll them out into 3 to 4-inch circles.

  • Step 2 :

    Fold these chapatis in a triangular form and again roll it out in a triangular shape.

  • Step 3 :

    Meanwhile, take a bowl and whisk eggs in it. Add, onions, chilli, coriander leaves, salt, and garam masala, and mix it well. Keep it aside.

  • Step 4 :

    Heat a pan or tawa and cook the rolled out chapattis for few seconds, cooking them on both sides with a spoonful of butter/ ghee.

  • Step 5 :

    As the edges start to crisp, quickly make a slit using a cutter and pour the egg mixture into the folds.

  • Step 6 :

    Add some more oil on the tawa and cook it until it turns golden brown.

  • Step 7 :

    Serve piping hot with chilled curd or pickle. You can also serve the parathas with cold coffee, milk or tea.
