Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Refined oil
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp edible food colour (red)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup butter

Step

  1. Step 1:

    To prepare this moist and delicious cake, start with mixing flour, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt in a bowl.

  2. Step 2:

    Mix sugar and eggs in a separate bowl and slowly pour some oil and beat well until you get a smooth consistency.

  3. Step 3:

    Next, add flour mixture along with buttermilk to it. Beat well.

  4. Step 4:

    Add vanilla extract and food colour in it. Mix well.

  5. Step 5:

    Pour the batter into two 9-inch greased floured cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    To make the icing mix cream cheese and butter with icing sugar. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and almonds. Top it on the cake and happy gorging!
