Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step

  1. Step 1:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or s silicone baking mat.

  2. Step 2:

    Take a bowl and whisk flour, baking powder and salt in it. Set aside.

  3. Step 3:

    Mix evaporated milk and vanilla in a separate cup and keep it aside.

  4. Step 4:

    Place butter in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Add sugar and cream and mix on medium speed until the mixture is smooth.

  5. Step 5:

    Slowly, add eggs one at a time. Beat each egg in before adding the next.

  6. Step 6:

    Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread it out evenly in the pan using a spatula.

  7. Step 7:

    Place into the oven and bake for an hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. Step 8:

    Remove the pan from oven and allow the pound cake to cool for at least 20 minutes.

  9. Step 9:

    Garnish it with fresh berries and dig it in right away!
