How To Make Fried Potato Balls

How To Make Fried Potato Balls

1. Begin by roughly chopping the peeled potatoes into smaller pieces. Boil the diced potatoes until they are soft and easy to mash. Once cooked, drain the water and transfer the potatoes to a bowl, then mash them until smooth.

2. In a separate pan, melt some butter and add Italian seasoning along with refined flour. Cook this mixture for about 30 seconds, then add the mashed potatoes and cook until the mixture is dry and fully combined.

3. Then transfer the mixture onto a deep plate and season with salt, black pepper powder, chilli flakes, chopped spring onions, and cornstarch. Mix everything thoroughly and then shape the mixture into small, evenly sized balls.

4. Now heat some oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, gently drop in the Potato Balls. Fry them in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, this usually takes about 3-4 minutes per batch.

5. Once your crispy fried Potato Balls are ready, garnish them with some coriander leaves. Serve them hot with your favourite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or any chutney.
