How To Make Chilli Garlic Maggi
1) Begin by boiling water in a medium-sized pan, and then add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to the water to prevent the noodles from sticking together during cooking.
2) Once the water reaches a rolling boil, add a packet of Maggi noodles to the pan. Let the noodles cook for about 1 minute, just until they soften but are still firm. Turn off the heat after a minute to prevent the noodles from becoming too soft.
3) Using a large sieve or strainer, drain the water from the noodles. Set the strained noodles aside to cool slightly, allowing excess moisture to evaporate.
4) In a large mixing bowl, add the following ingredients: 2 pods of crushed garlic, 1 teaspoon of chili flakes, 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 sachet of Maggi masala, 1 chopped green chili, 1 tablespoon of chopped spring onions (green part), 1 teaspoon of soy sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar. Stir all the ingredients together using a spoon, making sure everything is well-mixed.
5) In a small tadka pan, heat 1/2 cup of vegetable oil on medium heat. Allow the oil to heat up until it reaches its smoking point. This will help infuse the flavours of the spices when added.
6) Once the oil is smoking hot, carefully pour it into the mixing bowl containing the spice mixture.
7) Stir the mixture immediately, ensuring the hot oil combines thoroughly with the garlic, spices, and sauces. This step enhances the aroma and flavour.
8) After the oil and spices are well mixed, add the cooked and drained Maggi noodles to the bowl.
9) Toss the noodles gently but thoroughly with the spicy garlic oil, ensuring the noodles are evenly coated with the mixture.
10) Sprinkle one teaspoon of white sesame seeds and one teaspoon of chopped spring onions on top of the noodles for added crunch and flavour. Serve the hot chili garlic Maggi immediately and enjoy your flavourful, spicy meal!
