All you have to do is use the left over rice and make a scrumptious dessert.
Grind the rice to make a thick paste (not in the grinder or blender, as we have to make balls with it).
Heat milk in a pan and when it is half done, add the kesar and sugar.
Mix the custard powder in a cup of milk and pour it into the pan stirring continuously.
Add the cardamom powder and then switch off the flame. Let it cool for a while.
Now, in the rice batter, mix in some sugar powder, elaichi and left over milk and make a dough.
Heat water in your steamer while you make the balls.
Steam the balls for 10 minutes and once done let them cool down.
Now, in the pan with the custard powder solution, add chopped dry fruits and the rice balls.
Mix with a very gentle hand and serve.
