This Republic Day prepare something healthy and yet colourful and apt for breakfast.
Soak the dal and rice for 2 hours and then grind in stone grinder until smooth.
Remove the batter from the grinder and add salt then mix well.
Keep the batter for fermentation for 12 hours on room temperature.
Divide the batter into three parts.
Mix the puree of spinach and carrot into two parts separately to make red & green colour idli.
Place the red colour batter in a round mould followed by white then green in the end.
Steam in oven for 20 min or till it is done.
Serve it with tomato chutney, coconut chutney and green coriander chutney.
