Besan Atta Halwa
Besan Atta Halwa is a traditional Indian pudding that is prepared using besan, Wheat flour (atta), desi ghee and dry fruits. Desi ghee adds the flavour to the entire dish making it even more delicious. It is easy to prepare like any other Halwa recipe. The best part about this dessert is that it is healthy because ingredients like besan are rich in vitamins, fibre and iron. While preparing this Halwa your kitchen will be filled with the aroma of pure desi ghee.
How To Make Besan Atta Halwa?
- Take a pan and add desi ghee to it. Heat the ghee (ways to use ghee) and then add besan (gram flour) and atta (wheat flour) to the pan.
- Cook the flour on medium flame till brown and the ghee starts appearing on the sides. Stir continuously.
- Now add milk and water and keep stirring so that lumps are not formed.
- When the mixture starts getting thick, add sugar and mix well. Stir continuously.
- If required you can add 2-3 tablespoons of milk to soften the Halwa.
- Keep stirring until it leaves the side and everything comes together properly.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes more and switch off the gas.
- Add finely chopped dry fruits such as cashews, almonds and raisins to the Halwa (winter halwa recipes) and serve hot.
