Halwa is a traditional dessert, we usually have sooji or gajar ka halwa during the winter season but how about trying a new recipe this time? Badam halwa tastes delicious and is really easy to prepare. This one can be prepared using a few ingredients at home. You can prepare badam halwa at home really quickly for festivities too.

Prepare this halwa for house parties and celebrations.
Take a bowl and add almonds. Pour hot water to cover these almonds. Leave these almonds soaked for 3 to 4 hours.
Remove the almond skin and keep aside in a bowl.
Put all these almonds in a blender. Add milk and blend to form a paste.
In a heavy bottomed pan, add ghee.
Add the almond and milk mixture and stir well.
Now add sugar to the mixture and stir.
Next add saffron strands and mix well.
Cook this mixture on medium flame and keep stirring to prevent this mixture from burning.
Add some more ghee and mix.
The mixture will start leaving the sides of the pan once it is ready.
Turn off flame and transfer the halwa to bowls. Top with almond slivers.
