Predator: Badlands Box Office Collection Day 4: The ninth installment in the iconic franchise, Predator: Badlands, has made waves on social media and at the box office. The film, directed by Dan Trachtenberg (known for Prey and the animated show Killer of Killers), is being applauded for its modern take on the sci-fi series. As the film approaches the end of its first week in India, it has already managed to cross the ₹10 crore mark, setting a new record for the franchise's domestic performance.

Globally, the film has already earned a strong US$ 80 million.

Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands collected ₹0.61 crore on Monday (Day 4), according to Sacnilk. This figure represents a significant drop compared to the successful weekend, which saw collections exceed ₹3 crore daily. Despite the sudden slowdown on Monday, the film's total cumulative collection in India stands at ₹10.11 crore.

A Day-Wise Breakdown (India Net Collection)

Occupancy Rate

The sci-fi film recorded the highest overall occupancy rate in Tamil at 13.08%. The English occupancy stood at 10.73%, while the Hindi occupancy was 6.74%. Evening and night shows saw the maximum occupancy across all languages.

Global Box Office Collections

The film has garnered over US$ 40 million in revenue from the North American region alone. Worldwide box office sales collected another US$ 40 million, bringing the overall global earnings to more than US$ 80 million.

Despite this excellent run, the film, which reportedly has a budget of US$105 million, needs to earn more to be considered profitable, according to AP.

Plot Of 'Predator: Badlands'

This ninth movie in the franchise, which began with 1987’s Predator, brings a significant new twist to the series. Set on a remote planet, the story follows a young, outcast Predator, played by Dimitrius Schuster Koloamatangi, who encounters an android researcher, played by Elle Fanning. The duo embark on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary. Notably, this is the first installment where the Predator is featured as a hero, rather than a villain.
