For a long time, it is veteran actress Rekha who has ruled the saree look. But now the current crop of actresses are slaying the drape and how. Let's start with the new bride, Deepika Padukone who nailed the golden look at her reception in Hyderabad.

At her reception, the actress opted for a delicate off-white sari and beautifully paired it up with a plain white full-sleeved blouse. She finished her look with a heavy green emerald choker and matching earrings. Without much of interference, she kept her makeup as earthy as possible. Like earlier ceremonies, her taupe and mauve shades were some of the key highlights. 

For an awards function, Alia sported a beautiful pinkish-peach Ekaya saree. Her traditional saree was all things chic and she added that old-Bollywood vibe to the look with a sleeveless darker pink saree blouse. Instead of going all out with the jewellery or make-up, she chose to go simple and let the focus be on her saree. All she wore was a pretty pair of jhumkas.

For her wedding reception, Anushka wore this stunning red and gold Benarasi Sabyasachi Mukherjee saree. The bold gold border was a total winner. The statement choker-like neckpiece and jhumkas rounded her look off. Heavy but perfect for the occasion, you can always take some inspiration from her look.

For Anushka and Virat Kohli’s wedding reception, Priyanka Chopra who is now set to get married to Nick Jonas in December at Umaid Bhawan was the showstopper in this traditional gold drape which most probably was from her own personal collection of sarees. She wore a contrast blouse in green and accessorised with a long neck piece. Her green bindi and statement red lips were how she uplifted her look expertly.
