For last evening, she chose an embroidered sheath dress with a baby-blue floor-length coat that was reportedly designed by Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton. She kept the jewellery minimal with a multilayered studded necklace and a statement brooch.

Jared Ellner styled Emma Chamberlain in a custom black pinstripe dress designed by the brand Courreges. The outfit featured a long trail, and stunning cut-out, backless, and slit details, giving it a fresh, avant-garde edge. Janelle Monáe donned a custom Thom Browne fit for Met Gala 2025. Sharing the details on Instagram, the brand captioned, “Brought to life with Oscar-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell, Janelle’s look is a deconstructed, then reconstructed take on the tuxedo… a transformation from the familiar to the surreal. Janelle wears a thirties-inspired, oversized trompe l’oeil suit cape half realised in 3-ply mohair with white radial stitch grosgrain tipping, and half finished in embroidered pinstripe intarsia into red double duchess silk, with embroidered radial outlines in grosgrain ribbons.” The highlight of her look was the clock featured in her motorised monocle on Janelle’s left eye that moved another second with each step she took.

Halle Bailey wore a Harlem Renaissance-inspired look featuring a peak-lapel pinstripe evening jacket in navy and cream wool constructed by Arturo Castañeda Contreras, as shared by Coach and Stuart Vevers on Instagram. Along with the pictures from the evening, the caption said, “The piece is meticulously hand-embellished with over 10,000 individual tonal pavé crystals. Anchoring the look is a silk satin corset similarly adorned with pavé crystals. Halle also wears embellished platform heels with pavé crystals and a custom diffusing filter-veil with denim rhinestones by Stephen Jones. The look is finished off with a Coach Kisslock clutch with archival details in the same pinstripe crystal detail as the evening jacket.”

Isha Ambani reached the Met Steps drenched in gemstones, glam, and couture! Anaita Shroff Adajania styled her in a corset-themed top embellished with gemstones and cut-out details, paired with black pants featuring stones on the sides and a floor-length trench coat matching the corset. Isha’s makeup was done by Tanvi and her hair was styled in a braided hairdo by Yianni Tsapatori. To compliment her outfit, she chose statement rings from Tiffany & Co, a pair of Moi Jonah brooch worn as hair accessories from Moi, and some personal pieces from her mom Neeta Ambani’s collection including a necklace that belonged to a Maharaja of Nawanagar, as per reports.
12. Diljit Dosanjh In THE Maharaja Look

Last but definitely not the least, Diljit Dosanjh took inspiration from Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, for his debut at the Met Steps. Abhilasha Devnani styled him in an ivory Indian fit designed by Prabal Gurung, consisting of a Shahi suit, a cape with the sun and motifs, embroidery work, and the map of Punjab. Paying tribute to his homeland, mother tongue, and culture, were his turban and the inscription on his cape in the Gurmukhi script. While Dosanjh was denied access to the real jewels of the Maharaja as they were in a museum, his necklace was made with inspiration from the same.
