The most common mask trend which is seen nowadays is the concept of flaunting matching masks. People are buying masks which go in congruence with their outfit colours. For example: If your top is of yellow colour, then your masks too would be of similar shade. People are also getting their masks stitched out of the same fabric as their outfits. This makes the fabric, design and colour exactly the same as that of the regular garment.

Bridal Masks

Another concept which has seeped into the wedding trend is that of bridal masks. Most of the quarantine weddings witnessed brides wearing a mask matching their lehenga. Be it maroon, red or other pastel shades, we have been witnessing a lot of experiment when it comes to bridal masks. The masks were as lavish as the lehenga was, studded with all kinds of beads and embellishments.
Embroidered Masks
With so much happening with the masks, how can embroidery be left behind? Masks with laces, beaded embroidery, cross-stitch and several other patterns were seen in the market. Tiny flowers, birds and other unique patterns were sewn onto the masks to make them look more attractive.

Specially made to attract the attention of the kids, character special masks have also flooded the market. Characters like Dora, Barbie and Peppa pig were seen imprinted on these masks to attract the attention of girls. While for boys, characters like Superman, Hulk and Spiderman were seen making their mark. The idea of conceptualising such masks is to encourage the kids to wear them more often and adopt a healthy habit of practising precaution while going in the public.
