Step 1: If you are into both Indian and Western styles of attire and want to combine them, then choose an old kurti that justifies the traditional style. Look for patterns like bandhani, leheriya, peacock and more. Choose a colour that fits your own preference. Make sure the kurti is free of any tears and stains or else, the dress won’t come out good.

Step 2: Lay the kurti flat on the floor and fold it into half horizontally. Now cut the section above the sleeve and keep it aside. Take an old T-shirt and keep it on the kurti for measurement. Mark the neckline, shoulder, and length with chalk and make sure to leave 2 inches of cloth for proper fitting. Start cutting through the marking so you have both sides, ie., front and back.
