Aimee Baruah At Cannes 2024
Aimme Baruah made her Cannes debut in 2022 as the first Assamese actress to grace the red carpet. This year, she’s made a statement yet again as she walked the red carpet in a traditional Assamese Muga Silk Mekhela Sador. Designed by Mrs. Momita Sharma, her ensemble was adorned with ancient 200-year-old Assamese designs such as Goj Bota and Gam Kharu. She accessorised her look with Gamkharu on her wrist, Assamese gamosa, Riha, and Kopou Phul (foxtail orchids) in her hair bun.

Sunanda Sharma At Cannes 2024
Renowned Punjabi singer Sunanda Sharma made history as the first Punjabi artist to walk the Cannes red carpet. She stayed true to her Punjabi heritage as she wore a Chanderi kurta salwar to the festival. Designed by Aikeyah, her ivory ensemble consisted of a dhoti salwar combined with a ghagra. She paired it with an organza dupatta and accessorised her look with a nath and maang tika.

Ratna Pathak At Cannes 2024
Iconic actress Ratna Pathak flaunted her unique style alongside her husband, Naseeruddin Shah. She wore a bright mustard yellow traditional saree with a custom-crafted lavender blouse. The blouse was handwoven from recycled cotton and plant dye, making this Cannes outfit a testament to eco-friendly fashion.

Giving the timeless saree a modern twist, Indian influencer RJ Karishma graced the Cannes red carpet in a custom silver mirror work saree designed by Abhinav Mishra. Her outfit was adorned with intricate 'sheesha’ (mirror-work) and delicate sequins, making it a perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary flair.
