Cannes 2019: Sonam Kapoor Looks No Less Than Modern Maharani In Her Stunning Body Fitting Dress

Having turned heads with her fiery red look at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival in the French Riviera, Bollywood beauty and fashionista, Sonam Kapoor managed to dazzle all with her new look for an after party during the event. The 'Khoobsurat' actress chose silver as her colour for her third appearance at the ongoing Cannes 2019. The actress is yet to walk the red carpet in this edition and all are waiting with bated breathe on what she will wear this time.

For her third appearance, Sonam wore a sequin embellished body-fitting number from Indian designers Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla where the embroidered collar of the dress more than made up for any lack of jewellery.

Exuberating royalness, Sonam's outfit, finished with a matching scarf draped around her hand and a stunning diamond-studded neckpiece. She kept her accessories to a minimum with just a statement ring, which she was wearing on her left ring finger.

You won't deny that Sonam Kapoor is looking any less than maharani with a modern-day touch.

The 'Neerja' star styled her look with a sleek, centre-parted hair, shimmery smokey eye makeup and nude lips.

For the new look, Sonam seems to have channeled her inner royalty. Her sister-stylist Rhea Kapoor took to her Instagram to share an image of the diva and called her a 'Modern Maharani'. Taking to the photo-sharing platform, Rhea wrote, "Our Modern Maharani today for the @chopardNight of the Kings in @abujanisandeepkhosla Couture. #chopardparfums #cannes2019 #cannesfilmfestival." The actor was dressed up for a Chopard afterparty at Cannes 2019.

A regular at the red carpet of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, Sonam, during her day out at the French Riviera, sported a purple layered outfit by Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab. Accentuating her ensemble was her choice of accessories— a pair of diamond studs. The dress was highlighted by an extravagant bow and cape while Sonam styled her hair in a ponytail.

Sonam Kapoor, who is at Cannes 2019 for the tenth year in a row represents cosmetics brand L'Oreal.

The ongoing Cannes Film Festival, which kickstarted on May 14, has seen a string of Bollywood divas making their red carpet appearances. Bollywood actresses who have ascended the red carpet so far include Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Huma Qureshi, Diana Penty, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hina Khan. The festival will go on till May 25.

Last seen in ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’, Sonam has been busy shooting for her next film, ‘The Zoya Factor’. Based on the book of the same name by Anuja Chauhan, the film also stars Malayalam sensation Dulquer Salmaan. The film, which was reportedly set to release in June this year, has been postponed to September, owing to the commencement of ICC Cricket World Cup in May-end.
