Cannes 2019: Diana Penty Brings A Slice Of India At International Film Festival

Cannes 2019 has been pretty eventful for Bollywood celebrities so far. While Deepika Padukone, who has wrapped up her two day visit to the French Riviera, stunned everyone with her sartorial choices, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor are yet to make a splash on the red carpet. The year also saw ‘Cocktail’ actress Diana Penty debut at Cannes Films Festival where she stunned everyone in a mini Celia Kritharioti golden dress full of tassles while attending the Chopard party. The actress who sported a minimal makeup look with nude lips and sleek middle-parted hair also wore pair of embellished sheer golden knee-length boots by the same designer.

While her mini Celia Kritharioti gown was international in its appeal, Diana Penty decided to go traditional for her second look. She opted for a white and gold satin saree by Indian designer Amit Aggarwal. What stood out in her ensemble was the belt on her waist and the thigh-high slit which gave the Indian saree a global appeal. The actress wore Sergio Rossi shoes and Aquamarine jewellery to go with her jaw-dropping look. With her hair parted at the centre and tied back in a bun, Diana completed the look with a dash of red lipstick. She posted a picture of her look on Instagram and captioned it, “Day 2 at Cannes for The FICCI Forum at The India Pavilion”.

Actress Dia Mirza called Diana Penty stunning in the comments section which was flooded by positive comments from her fans. An Instagrammer called Diana Penty a “Greek goddess”, “Damn! White never ever looked this goooood”, said another. Another wrote, “Awesome u look the best among all.”

Ahead of 72nd Cannes Film Festival, the 33-year-old actor had posted another look in which she wore a cedar brown high split maxi dress which she paired up with golden vintage Chanel belt, black stiletto boot, and brown aviators.

Diana was last seen in ‘Paramanu’ and ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’. The actor stayed away from films for four years following ‘Cocktail’ before returning with ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’.
