As for Asia, they prefer Japan, China, and Singapore for higher studies. However, overseas education consultants say there are several other options for students from India they can consider.

Netherlands

Reports state the Netherlands offers over 2,100 English courses while the annual tuition fee on average is 6,000–15,000 EUR (roughly Rs. 5-13L). The popular courses offered by the European country are engineering, business, psychology, and environmental studies. Some of the benefits international students enjoy in the Netherlands include extensive scope of scholarships and a strong emphasis on research. Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Utrecht remain the favourite spots for international students.

Switzerland

Finland has 35 higher educational institutions and is slowly becoming a hub for international students. They have more than 500 English-speaking degree programmes with the institutes being largely state-funded. However, non-EU/EEA students may not enjoy low tuition fees as their EU/EEA counterparts.

France

France was once called the fashion capital of the world but now it is becoming known as a powerhouse for those who want to study fashion art, culinary arts, business, and history across its over 3,500 institutions. The public university fees in this European country are affordable, theculture is vibrant and steeped in history, and there's access to the Schengen Area (a passport-free travel zone in Europe comprising 29 countries). Paris, Lyon, and Nice are the favourite spots for students.
