Though some Insta users might find it interesting, it can be difficult for many to actually find your Insta handle. This can be one reason why you aren’t able to reach many accounts. Hence, the expert suggested going for a search-friendly username.

Use A Real Profile Picture

It is a good idea to have a real picture that goes well with your content genre or business.

Switch To Business Account

Depending on the kind of profile you are building on Instagram, switch your account settings to business as users are more likely to take it seriously.

Work On The ‘Edutainment’ Mantra

The majority of people use social media apps for fun. However, the platform has the power to generate a lot of business. Thus, create content that has an educational quotient but simultaneously is entertaining as well. So, your mantra should be creating educational + entertainment content = ‘edutainment’.

Keep It Short And Crisp

There has been a decrease in the attention span of Instagram users each day. If you create videos, go for short and crisp content.

Make Relatable and Shareable Content

• Put as many Instagram stories as you can in a day, it helps create a lot of engagement.
• Segregate stories and put them into highlight folders. Additionally, if you can design a theme for the highlights then go for that too. It helps beautify the profile.
• It’s better to collaborate with your fellow competitors instead of competing with them. It becomes a win-win situation for both parties.
• Don’t forget geotagging, adding the location helps increase reach.
• Choose trending music for your reels and stories.
• Having a content calendar in place gives clarity of thoughts on what has to be posted and when.
• Pick trending hashtags but make sure you are only using the ones relevant with your content.

• Pin important comments and most significant posts as per your profile.
• Do engage with your followers through comments.
• If you have a business account then plan to run a contest every month where you can ask your followers to tag their friends.

• Go for an Instagram Live every week or so. Even collaborating on Instagram lives helps you reach out to more people.
• Don’t buy fake followers. Though this will immediately increase your followers, it will negatively impact your profile in the long run.
