Shilpa Shetty's travel diary is an inspiration for us all. The pics on her Instagram prove that she and her family sure know how to take full advantage of their holidays.
The actress expressed her experience saying 'Soaking in the Maldivian sun and loving it. If I had my way, would live here or the rest of my life'. Shilpa captioned one of the posts, in which she is seen wearing an embellished swimsuit in which of course she looked svelte and her bikini fashion choice is right on!

She also treated her fans on Instagram to her snorkelling experience while Raj Kundra's post proves that he is in love with the cuisine there. There is no doubt that unrivalled luxury, stunning white-sand beaches and an amazing underwater world make the Maldives an obvious choice for a true holiday of a lifetime.
Beach Love
The Maldives is home to the best beaches in the world. It is a cluster of nearly 1200 islands and each is so beautiful that it is hard not to become blase about them. While some beaches may boast softer granules than others, the main factor is that you won't find consistently whiter-than-white powder sand and luminous cyan-blue water like this anywhere else on earth. You must visit this tiny, remote and otherwise little-known Indian Ocean paradise.
Where To Stay?
Every resort in the Maldives has its own private island, and with over 100 to choose from the only problem is selecting where you want to stay. To put the cherry on top, luxury is at its best here. From personal butlers and private lap pools to in-room massages and pillow menus, you have them all. It’s not surprising that couples like Shilpa & Raj Kundra and honeymooners are visiting.
What To Do?
The Maldives has undergone a seismic change in the past 10 years since inhabited islands have been opened to tourism and locals permitted to build their own guesthouses. Travellers no longer have to stay in resorts and remain separate from the local population, something that kept backpackers away for decades. You can do island hopping by public ferry, speedboat and whats good is that domestic flights have opened up this incredible country to visitors on all budgets. A number of islands in Male and Ari atolls are now big centres for a booming guesthouse industry.
Onto the underwater world experience, with some of the best diving and snorkelling in the world, the clear waters of Maldives are a magnet for anyone with an interest in marine life. Here is a proof from Shilpa's chronicles which she described saying 'the beauty and mechanisms of nature don’t fail to surprise me... Didn’t even need to go #snorkeling... found Mr Octupus and this colourful marine life just outside our water villa... To see how he camouflaged himself on the rock was incredible, we caught it at the spur of the moment... and what a moment it was!
Food Binge!

Since the Maldives is almost 99% sea, fish (mainly tuna) is the most important staple of the Maldivian diet. The cuisine found here is a mix of Arabic, Indian, Sri Lankan and Oriental influences. You can even treat yourself to Japanese teppanyaki, fine Italian cuisine, the spicy flavours of India and Thailand, traditional Chinese, fine upscale dining, or just a casual snack.
