What’s the best way to know a culture up close? Well, try their cuisine I would say! I’ve always been a picky eater which made me hesitant to experiment with multiple cuisines. But this time I decided to change that! Recently I visited Miss Margarita by Arriba in Greater Kailash Kailash 2, Delhi and gave Mexican food a shot! Was it worth it? Let’s find out in this detailed review.
I visited the cafe during the evening when it appeared to be more cosy than usual. They had dim lights and romantic vibes perfect for a couple date. The ambience will immediately put you at ease with their scented candles and comforting atmosphere. Every wall in the cafe has some interesting art which makes it an Instagrammable spot. If you book your table in advance, you’ll be welcomed with a small name board on your table, which in my opinion is a good first impression.
Miss Margarita by Arriba is a Mexican restaurant offering a wide variety of delightful options to try. Non-vegetarian items overpowered their menu including Pork Belly, Fish Taco Bites, Chicken-rice bowl and more. There were veg options as well including tacos, salads, burritos and more. To quench your thirst, you can try their vast options of amazing mocktails and cocktails.

Trying Mexican food for the first time, naturally, I had some doubts. But they all seemed to vanish the moment I took the first bite of classic guacamole and chips in starters. Special mention to the sauces they used. They were all flavourful and enhanced the taste of the food. Next, I tried spicy Kale & jackfruit quesadilla, which I am still craving as I pen down this review. First bite into the cheesy food and it instantly became my new favourite. I concluded my meal with a spicy avocado yam & black bean rice bowl which was absolutely satisfying. My plus one tried non-veg items including diablo prawn sizzle and spicy habanero chicken & rice casserole and he looked utterly delighted by its taste. For drinks, we had Mexican limeade and watermelon agua frescas which were tasty and refreshing. We concluded our meal on a sweet note with Tres Leches which was the perfect definition of a happy ending.
I can confidently say that Miss Margarita treated me with the best service I ever experienced. The staff was friendly and polite, making sure I had a good time. Since I was trying Mexican food for the first time, choosing the dishes was a bit of a challenging task. But thanks to the staff who were so patient and helpful in deciding what to order.
Overall it was kind of an experience that you look forward to by the end of your hectic work day - delightful and refreshing. From food to service and ambience, everything was top-notch. Miss Margarita is a must-visit!
