Since June is celebrated as Pride Month, we decided to dedicate a piece to the LGBTQ travel community and its supporters. In recent years, LGBTQ rights in India have advanced significantly. However, they still experience issues with the law and society. Pride Month is about freedom and self-discovery. Pride parades, queer film festivals, specialised tour companies, and the LGBTQ community's steadily expanding membership are all signs that Indians are starting to accept this alternate way of life. Take a look at these destinations that are embracing travel inclusivity for this community, take a look:  

1. Delhi 

Delhi

India's capital city, Delhi has been a strong supporter of LGBTQ rights and worked to ensure that more people's views are heard. Delhi's first Queer Pride March took place in 2008 honouring and supporting lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people, and other queer people. There are plenty of places including restaurants and art galleries that are pride friendly. 

2. Bengaluru 

Bengaluru has hosted the Pride March every year since 2008, and the city is also home to big annual LGBTQ+ festivals – the Bengaluru Queer Film Festival and the multi-arts Gender Bender Festival. There are several queer-targeted and queer-friendly venues and events throughout the city's renowned nightlife.

3. Mumbai

Mumbai

Mumbai also known as the ‘City Of Dreams’ is quite supportive of the LGBTQ cause. A good example of the unity of the community is the Mumbai Queer Film Festival. It brings together the audience and the creators of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer films to support social change.

4. Goa 

Goa

One of India’s LGBTQ-friendly travel spots is Goa and is often praised for it. Goa offers several gay-friendly clubs and beaches in addition to inclusiveness which is rare in other states. One of the most accepting cities for LGBTQ individuals in Goa is Panaji.
