This is amongst the friendliest places in the world with good people, lovely beaches and a rich culture. This place is affordable which includes "quality professional healthcare—temperate climate, high safety rating and excellent food and wine."

The climate is pleasant the whole year and if you want an urban lifestyle then move to Lisbon which is the oldest city in Western Europe. Porto is another option as it is the second largest metropolitan area. For a quite living, Marvao and Castelo de Vide have been recommended which are villages and have stores, cafes and restaurants galore with the mountain view in sync. Here a couple can live comfortably for 2200 dollars at max and if you can get a historic homestead in Marvao then just 403 dollars would suffice. 

Vietnam is all about ancient historic sites, clear beaches, and a strong economy. The cost of living is very low. And people here speak in English. According to  Wendy Justice, International Living’s Southeast Asia correspondent, "In Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, a couple can enjoy a comfortable lifestyle for less than $1,100 per month, Westerners also tend to get by on around $500 per month for a simple lifestyle. If you live outside the two of  Vietnam’s largest cities, a budget of around $800 to $1,000 per month will provide a lovely house or apartment, all utilities, housekeeping, groceries, dining out every day if you choose and even the occasional massage."

This Central American gem has affordable medical care, many microclimates, beautiful nature, sweet locals and more. It is the latest democracy without a military force. To shift, you choose from seaside villages to mountain towns and even rainforests. A single person here can live on 1500 to 1800 dollars a month. Many couple have said to be living easily on 2000 dollars. A meal at a local restaurant here is 4-5 dollars while a visit to the doc may empty 50 dollars or less from your wallet.

Panama is a tropical destination with its currency being the U.S. dollar. The good thing here is that the tax stress is low and many speak English here. There are many doctors available as well. It does not come under the hurricane belt. Internet and network are not an issue. The country is famous for its Pensionado, which provides easy residency to expats—is one of the best retiree programs in the world today and it’s open to all. “You’ll never run out of things to do here,” says Jessica Ramesch, International Living’s Panama editor. It is also a cultural capital and has many vibrant communities from across the world. 

A couple can live here on 1700 dollars a month and outside Panama city, it gets even more affordable. You can also live on 1514 dollars a month and the best part is that there is no income tax in case you are earning a revenue in other countries.

Mexico has high quality healthcare, gorgeous beaches and a very low cost of living. The oceans are clear, there are fertile farmlands and more. You could shift to Lake Chapala area, and San Miguel de Allende. Then there is beach town of Bucerías,  and Toluca, which is known for the museums in Mexico outside of Mexico City. The cost of living is very low here. A couple can live on Rs 1500 dollars but it all depends on the location. This includes reent and healthcare. If you move into a home in Toluca, which has a backyard and a front yard, the rent would be 500 dollars or less per month. A meal at a fancy restauarnt woyld cost 20 dollars for 2 people and cab rides is just dollar 1-2 wherever you go.

This place has world-class healthcare, lovely scenery and a low cost of living. The people here are very warm and welcoming. The climate is good here. Colombia is the second most biodiverse country in world. It could cost somewhere between 1394 to 1994 dollars a month for a couple.

This place has nice beaches, rainforests and expats here can also own property on freehold. There is no inheritance tax and Malaysia places no tax on income earned overseas. “Malaysian law is based on the British system and all road signs are in both English and Malay, which makes driving around easy,” says Keith Hockton, International Living’s Malaysia correspondent. Even language is nit an issue as most speak in English as well. There are 878 islands to choose from. If you stay in Penang, it will cost 1455 dollars per month for a couple. Meals are not for more than 5 dollars.

You have spring most of the time here and you can get a nice condo for 500 dollars. There are so many activities to do here and that includes "day trips to nearby towns, card games, dinner clubs, trivia, art classes, hikes in the cajas and long lunches with friends," according to Donna Stiteler, International Living’s correspondent for Cuenca, Ecuador. A single person just has to spend around 1000 dollars a month. You get house help for 10-20 dollars a day. You can live here without a car and buses charge less than 30 cents while cabs could be between 2 to 5 dollars. 

“Outside the tourist zones, you may need to know a little Spanish to get by, but there are plenty of beach areas with large, English-speaking expat communities. In my experience, Spanish people are friendly, helpful and curious about other cultures," said Marsha Scarbrough, International Living’s Spain correspondent. The climate here ranges from hot and dry in the south to mild and coold in the North. If you love the mountains, food and forests then Navarre, Cantabria, Asturias, Galicia and the Basque country are for you. For skiing, head to Pyreness. Even if you live in Madrid, you pay 2000 dollars a month. You do not even need a car here.  

This place has good food, it's about the couture, amazing climate, stunning countryside, healthcare in place, history and traditions. The best feature is the healthcare one where universal coverage is guaranteed to all residents (expat and otherwise) after three months. If you opt to live in Paris, you will spend 2083 to 2483 dollars a month as a couple and less for a single.
