Shaving uses a razor to cut hair right at the skin’s surface. It’s quick, affordable, and convenient, especially if you’re in a hurry. Dr Jain said, “Since the pubic area has delicate skin, shaving without care can lead to razor burns, small cuts, or even infections if tools aren’t clean.”

Waxing involves applying warm wax to the skin and pulling it off quickly to remove hair from the root. This means you will stay hair-free for a longer time, anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. Dr Jain said, “It’s not pain-free and might not be ideal if you have very sensitive skin.”
