To prepare for Bhavna Pandey’s vow renewal ceremony, Seema Kiran Sajdeh decided to pamper her skin with a vampire facial. This must have got you wondering what even is that. Read on to know all about it.
What is Vampire Facial?
Vampire facial uses a combination of microneedling and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to pamper the skin.
Microneedling
It uses a short and fine needle to puncture the skin, which feels like a tiny prick and only goes skin deep. This needle is used to injure the skin, thus allowing your skin to heal itself by producing elastin and collagen.
PRP
After microneedling is done, PRP is applied to the skin, basically a concentration of platelet-rich plasma protein produced from blood. This concentrate helps the tissues to heal and repair and also treats all kinds of skin problems.
Process Of Vampire Facial
- Firstly, blood is drawn from your face, with a painless process.
- After this your blood is placed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets from the red blood cells.
- A numbing cream is applied to the face to minimise discomfort during the microneedling process.
- Once the numbing cream is active and the microneedling process has been done, PRP is rubbed on the skin.
- It is recommended to keep the PRP on the skin for the rest of the day for best results.
