But, unfortunately, many of us end up with eyebrows that are too thin because of over-plucking, threading or waxing. Sometimes, thin eyebrows occur as a result of the ageing process, nutritional deficiencies, poor hygiene/care or medical conditions like hypothyroidism, eczema or alopecia areata.
So, if you're not blessed with naturally big brows, then here are a few tips you can follow to get thicker eyebrows:
Massage your brows
To promote hair growth, massage the hair follicles under the brows. Start by massaging your eyebrows in a circular motion towards their direction of growth twice or thrice a week. This will stimulate their growth and you are bound to have eyebrows grown back faster.
Also, exfoliating with a soft toothbrush helps unfold the area and stimulate growth. We often fail to clean and groom the eyebrows enough. Remnants of makeup, serum, cream, and dirt can hamper the health and regrowth of the eyebrows.
Oiling
Nourishing your brows can help to boost the hair growth. You can use olive oil, almond oil and even petroleum jelly using a Q-tip. Applying it twice a day will give you the best results.
Almond oil can also be used as it contains vitamin A, B, and E which stimulates the hair growth. But almond is a common allergen so be cautious while using it.
The most effective of them all is organic, cold-pressed castor oil. It promotes hair growth as well as ensures that each hair strand is thick and strong. To have fuller eyebrow in as less as six weeks apply castor oil every day.
These oils are known to nourish the eyebrows and fasten the process of growth. This is the safest option with no side effects.
Grow out
You are probably aware of this, but it is worth emphasizing on that plucking or waxing around your eyebrows can slower the process of regrowth. In fact, sometimes plucking and waxing can damage the follicle permanently, preventing the hair from ever growing back.
Eyebrows usually take a lot of time to grow. They are usually grown in three to fours months so stay away from tweezers and razors for about 12 weeks to get full growth. It might feel weird at first but trust me it will work wonders later.

Use a spoolie brush and groom them in the hair direction daily. Then, after 12 weeks you can pluck out the once that are near your brow line. But leave the once that are close to the area and soon the hair will grow out stronger around the four months mark.
