It is important to be aware that not all areas of the body are ideal for tattoos due to healing issues, longevity, pain, or structural complexity. But still there are some uncommon areas which tattoo artists don't suggest getting tattooed on to avoid unwanted problems in the future. We’ve compiled a list of five body parts you should avoid getting tattooed on. Read on to learn about these body parts.
5 Body Parts To Avoid Getting A Tattoo On
1. Palms
The skin on palms regenerates quickly and constantly sheds. Tattoo ink doesn’t hold well here. Blurring, fading, or complete loss of pigment is common in palm tattoos. Also, hands are high-motion areas with heavy use, leading to poor healing.
2. Fingers
Fingers have thin skin, limited fat, and are always in motion or contact. Finger tattoos are the most prone to ink blowouts, fast fading, and difficulty healing. Finger tattoos often need multiple touch-ups.

3. Elbow
The skin around your elbow is thick and tough, and this joint moves constantly. Tattoos on your elbows can cause poor ink saturation, uneven healing, and distortion over time. Elbows also tend to dry out and crack during healing.
