How To Do Besan Or Gram Flour Facial?
Ingredients Required -
- Besan Or Gram Flour
- Yogurt Or Curd
- Turmeric Powder
- Raw Milk
- Cornflour
- Rose Water
- Ripe Banana
- Honey
- Papaya Pulp
- Malai Or Cream
Step 1: Gram Flour Face Cleanser
For any facial, it is important to clear any dust or dirt accumulated on your face. If your face isn't clean, none of the steps will work for your skin.
- In a bowl, add 1 tbsp gram flour or besan, 1 tbsp yogurt or curd and mix well.
- Apply this mixture all over your face and keep for 20 minutes.
- Wash off with cold water.
Step 2: Gram Flour Face Toner
Toners help in soothing your skin and removing excess sebum which often accumulates in the open pores of our skin. Gram flour is a great toner for your skin. It helps in removing excess sebum from the skin and also unclogs the pores of your skin.
- In a bowl, add 1 tbsp besan or gram flour, 1/2 tsp turmeric or haldi and rose water. Mix well.
- Apply a thick paste all over your face and neck.
- Keep the toner on for 20 minutes and then wash with cold water.
Step 3: Gram Flour Face Scrub
Next, it is important to exfoliate the skin with a scrub. A scrub gently helps removing the dead skin layers, blackheads and whiteheads, further giving you soft and smooth skin.
- In a bowl, add 2 tbsp of besan or gram flour, 1 tsp ground oats, 2 tsp cornflour and 1 tsp raw milk. Mix all the ingredients together.
- Apply on your face and neck. Keep for 10 minutes.
- Gently start massaging the face scrub.
- Wash off with normal water.
Step 4: Gram Flour Face Pack
Lastly, pamper your face with a face pack. You can prepare a face pack according to your skin type or issues.
For Dull Skin
If you face looks dull then this face pack will give it a natural, youthful glow. In a bowl, add 1 tbsp gram flour or besan, 1 tsp of lemon juice and 1 tsp malai or ream. Mix well. Apply on your face and neck. Wash after 15-20 minutes.

For Dry Skin
If you have dry and flaky skin, use this besan face pack to get smooth, moisturised skin.
- In a bowl, add a ripe banana, 1 tsp besan and 1 tsp honey. Mix well. Apply this face pack on your face for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with normal water.
For Acne Prone Skin
If you have acne prone skin, you need ingredients which soothe your skin and also kill the harmful bacteria causing acne.
- In a bowl, add 1 tsp of gram flour and 1/2 tsp turmeric. Mix well with some milk. Apply on your face and neck. Wash with normal water.
For Tanned Skin
To remove face tanning, use this face pack this summer season.
- Add 1 tsp besan, 1 tsp papaya pulp and a few drops of orange juice in a bowl. Mix well. Apply this face pack regularly to get rid of the tan.
For Oily Skin
Besan or gram flour is a great ingredient for oily skin type because it has properties to absorb excess sebum present on the skin. Add 1 tsp besan or gram flour and some rose water in a bowl to make a paste. Apply all over face and neck. This face pack will help balance your skin's oil balance and also tone your skin.
For Ageing Skin
Over time, our skin starts to lose its elasticity and begins to sag. To prevent the skin sagging and reduce the appearance of ageing signs, you should try using this face pack.
- In a bowl, add gram flour, 1 tsp fresh cream or malai and some water to make a paste. Apply all over your face and neck and then wash with lukewarm water.
