A very common condition for sure, acne is something that leaves permanent scars on our skin. It is important to consult a skincare specialist for the same to prevent it from spreading and further skin damage. Mostly, people with oily skin have acne which generally starts with just a blackhead. Do not neglect them as they result in inflammation and pimples as they tend to irritate the surrounding tissues of the skin. In acne, there are many kinds of eruptions, like blackheads, whiteheads, cysts (lumps), pustules, etc.
If you have oily skin, go for “clean-ups” to a good hygienic beauty salon, where blackheads will also be extracted. Keep your hair and scalp clean and treat any kind of scalp dryness or dandruff as that to can lead to acne and pimples.

Make sure you have a daily dose of fresh salads and fruits, sprouts, curd, whole grains, clear soups, and lassi in the diet. Drink 8 glasses of water daily. You can also add the juice of a lemon to your glass and gulp it down every morning.

Avoid excessive soap and water washing to maintain the pH balance of the skin. It is recommended that you use a face wash that has neem and tulsi, or use a medicated cleanser. Avoid cleansing creams and heavy moisturisers in the summer as these tend to clog the pores and lead to acne. Make sure you clean your face every night. Never sleep with your makeup and remove all the sweat before going to bed. For makeup, use only water-based foundations and/or a powder compact.

Many natural ingredients have an astringent effect and help to reduce oiliness. This includes green tea which makes for a good astringent toner. All you have to do is soak the green tea leaves or a teabag in hot water for half an hour. Then strain it and let it cool down so that you can use it on your face.
If you feel some dryness, then just mix 100 ml rose water and teaspoon of glycerin in an air-tight bottle and refrigerate. Apply this solution to hydrate and get rid of the dryness. You will need very little quantity for it.
Homemade Pastes
If you have boils then apply sandalwood paste.
Another way is by mixing together a teaspoon of cinnamon powder, half teaspoon methi seed powder, lemon juice and a few drops of honey. Apply the sticky mixture on the problem area and leave on for a couple of hours, or even overnight.
Another solution is that you use tea tree oil. Just mix together 2 drops of it in two tablespoons of rose water and apply on the pimples or rashes.
