Paush Purnima In January 2025

The full moon date falling in the month of Paush, as per the Hindu calendar, is considered to be very special. It is said that fasting, worshipping Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, and performing charity can help you attract positivity and auspicious results in your life. In January 2025, it will be observed from 5:03 am on Monday, January 13, till 3:56 am on Tuesday, January 14, under the Ardra Nakshatra.

Magh Purnima In February 2025

Pandit Dwivedi said, “Magh Purnima is considered extremely auspicious and sacred in Hinduism. Taking a bath, donating, and worshipping Lord Vishnu on the full moon day of Magh month brings virtue and has special significance on this day. In 2025, the fast of Magh Purnima will be observed on Wednesday, February 12. On this day, the fruits of religious works and Sadhana are multiplied manifold.” It will begin at 6:55 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, and end at 7:22 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, under the Ashlesha Nakshatra.

Phalgun Purnima In March 2025

In Hinduism, the festival of Holi is celebrated on the Phalgun Purnima. “The day is associated with the devotion of Bhakt Prahlad and the legend of Holika Dahan, which symbolises the victory of good over evil. Doing puja, fasting, and performing charity on the full moon day of the Phalgun month are considered extremely auspicious. In 2025, Phalguna Purnima will fall on Friday, March 14. It will be starting at 10:35 am on Thursday, March 13, and remain till 12:23 pm on the next day. The Nakshatra on this tithi will be Uttara Phalguni,” shared Pandit Ji.

Chaitra Purnima In April 2025

Astrologer Ramesh said, “Chaitra Purnima is the first full moon fast of the year according to the Hindu calendar and is considered especially sacred and auspicious. This day is also celebrated as Lord Hanuman Jayanti, which increases its importance even more. Fasting on Chaitra Purnima along with worshipping Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi brings happiness, prosperity, and peace in your life. In 2025, the Chaitra Purnima fast will be observed on Saturday, April 12.”

Vaishakh Purnima In May 2025

Also popular as Buddha Purnima, commemorating the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha, the Purnima tithi of the Vaishakh month is considered very important in Hinduism. “On this day, bathing in the Ganges, performing charity, and worshipping Lord Vishnu are considered especially fruitful. In 2025, Vaishakh Purnima will fall on Monday, May 12. It will remain from 8:01 pm on Sunday, May 11, till 10:25 pm on the next day under the Swati Nakshatra,” said the astrologer.

Jyeshtha Purnima In June 2025

“Jyeshtha Purnima is considered a special holy date in Hinduism. Ganga Dussehra is also celebrated on this day, which symbolises the descent of the river Ganga on earth,” saidthe astrologer. He also mentioned that worshipping Lord Vishnu and performing all the rituals and traditions associated with this day destroys sins and brings happiness and prosperity in life. The Jyeshtha Purnima 2025 will begin at 11:35 am on Tuesday, June 10, and end at 1:13 pm on Wednesday, June 11, under the Jyeshtha Nakshatra.

Ashadh Purnima In July 2025

Astrologer Bhojraj shared, “Ashadh Purnima is also known as Guru Purnima, which symbolises the guru-disciple tradition. Worshipping the guru and receiving blessings on this day is considered especially auspicious. This date is dedicated to spirituality, knowledge, and devotion in Hinduism. In 2025, Ashadh Purnima will begin at 1:36 pm on Thursday, July 10, and end at 2:06 am on the next day under the Poorvashada Nakshatra.”

Shravan Purnima In August 2025

The festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the Shravan Purnima tithi. This day in 2025 will start at 2:12 pm on Friday, August 8, and end at 1:24 pm on Saturday, August 9, under the Shravana Nakshatra.
