Shardiya Navratri Day 8: Maha Ashtami Date And Shubh Muhurat
Pandit Tripathi said, “According to the Hindu calendar, this year, the Maha Ashtami Tithi of Sharadiya Navratri is October 11. According to this calendar, the auspicious time of Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will begin at 12:31 pm on October 10 and will end at 12:06 pm on October 11.”
The Shubh Muhurat for Puja is from 7:47 am to 9:14 am on October 11, 2024.

On the eighth day of Navratri, goddess Mahagauri, who is believed to be the goddess of power and beauty, is worshipped. Doing so is said to bring happiness, peace and prosperity into your life.

“First of all, sprinkle some Ganga water to purify the place of worship. Then, spread a clean mat and place the idol or picture of Maa Mahagauri on it. Install a Kalash and put Gangajal, Roli, rice, some coins and Mauli in it. Light incense and a ghee lamp and offer it to the Goddess. Offer her Pushpanjali, fruits, sweets, milk, curd, etc. Then, chant the Mantras and recite her Aarti,” said astrologer Tripathi.
Navratri Day 8 Maha Ashtami: Colour To Wear And Significance
Talking about the significance of worshipping Maa Mahagauri on the eighth day of Navratri, Pandit Ji said, “Maa Mahagauri is considered the goddess of peace and happiness. Worshipping her calms the mind and brings happiness and prosperity in life. Maa Mahagauri is also considered the goddess of youth and beauty. Worshipping her increases the beauty of a person and keeps him young. Many girls also worship Maa Mahagauri to attract marital bliss.”
