Additionally, the north-east direction is believed to be associated with Lord Kubera, the god of wealth, as per Vastu Shastra, therefore it is ideal for keeping the Tulsi plant. “It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi never leaves the house where Tulsi is present. By planting a Tulsi plant in the courtyard of your house, the environment of the house remains balanced and happiness and prosperity also come to the house,” shared the expert.
“It is said in the Puranas that by planting a Tulsi plant in the house, all the sins of a person's previous life are destroyed. It is believed that in the house where Maa Tulsi resides, Yamdoots never enter that house and evil powers also get destroyed,” said Pandit Ji.
