Sawan Somwar 2024 Which Diya To light
Our expert recommends lighting a mustard oil diya while worshipping Lord Shiva or Shivling on all five Mondays of Sawan. You can also light up a ghee diya, however, it is a good option if keeping it before Lord Shiva’s picture or idol. For Shivling, lighting a mustard oil diya is recommended to be more beneficial.
Sawan Somwar 2024 Rules For Lighting Diya
When lighting a mustard oil diya in the temple or your puja room on all five Mondays of Sawan month, ensure to use a wick made of Kalawa instead of cotton. A red or yellow coloured Kalawa would be perfect. You can also opt for a thread of Janeu. Once done, churn the Kalawa, pour some mustard oil in a brass lamp, and let the wick soak it. Once done, light your diya.
