The Sawan Shivratri 2024 will begin at 3:26 pm on August 2, and end at 3:50 pm on August 3, 2024. According to the Uday Tithi, Sawan Shivratri will be observed on August 2, this year. Performing Jalabhishek of the Shivling on this day is considered very auspicious.

The devotees are advised to bathe early in the morning and wear clean clothes. After that, visit Shiva temples and perform Jalabhishek of the Shivling with water, milk, curd, ghee, honey, and Ganga water. Also, there is a ritual to offer Bilva leaves, Dhatura, Bhang, and Aak flowers. Along with that, offer Kheer or white sweets to Lord Shiva while chanting Shiva mantras and reciting the Shiva Chalisa as it is considered to be very beneficial on this day. You should also chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra or the Panchakshar Mantra 108 times with a Rudraksha mala while performing worship for Lord Shiva’s blessings.
