Astrologically, Lord Shani or planet Saturn holds a lot of importance in every horoscope. Offer Lord Shani foods made using urad dal like imarti (jalebi-like sweet dessert), dahi bhalle (urad dal fritters soaked in curd). Do this every week and the remedy will help you impress Lord Shani.

Visit Kosi Kalan/Kokilavan Dham

One of the oldest temples of Lord Shani Dev is located at Kosi Kalan near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that Lord Krishna gave darshan to God Shani in this place. According to a legend, Lord Shani once wanted to see little Krishna but her mother Yashoda didn't let him thinking he might harm her child as he was the Lord who punished those who did bad to others. Shani Dev felt disappointed because of this and kept thinking about why he wasn't allowed to see Lord Krishna.

When Lord Krishna got to know about Shani Dev, he appeared before him and asked him to stay near his home in Nandgaon. He also told Lord Shani that whoever visits his temple will have no troubles in their life.

Today, Kosi Kalan is also known as Kokilavan Dham because it is believed to be the same place Lord Krishna often visited and played his flute while he was with the gopis. The temple is situated in the same place where Lord Krishna gave darshan to Lord Shani. On visiting the temple, perform mustard oil 'abhishekam' on Lord Shani's idol and do 'parikrama' of the temple.

Feed Crows

Crows represent Lord Shani. He is the carrier of Shani Dev and can also help you please Lord Shani. Feed crows as much as possible. This can be done daily or once a week.

Distribute Black Chickpeas

Black chickpeas are another food dear to Lord Shani. Often, Lord Shani devotees prepare black chickpeas on Saturdays, a day dedicated to the Lord. To impress Lord Shani, our expert suggested distributing 108 packs of black chickpeas to the needy on Saturday.
