The five-faced Rudraksha or the Panchmukhi Rudraksha is one of the most revered and widely used sacred beads in Hinduism. The Rudraksha is believed to represent the tears of Lord Shiva and the five sections of the 5-Mukhi Rudraksha are believed to symbolise the five elements, Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Aether, as per the ancient Vedic scriptures. It is widely associated with the Kalagni Rudra form of Lord Shiva and the followers of the Hindu religion often use it to channel divine energy and promote peace, good health and spiritual growth. However, you must follow the rules of wearing it if you want to gain the complete benefits. Let us know about these rules and the benefits from Manyyaa Adlakkha, founder of Vastu Guru Manyyaa, numerologist and astrologer, in this article.
Benefits Of Wearing 5 Mukhi Rudraksha
Vastu expert and astrologer Manyyaa said, “One of the most profound benefits of wearing the 5 Mukhi Rudraksha is its ability to regulate blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health. It is said to have a calming effect on the mind and body, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. The bead is also believed to enhance concentration and memory, making it particularly beneficial for students and professionals.”
In astrology, the 5 Mukhi Rudraksha is also associated with the planet Jupiter, known for wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual enlightenment. Wearing this Rudraksha can help you attract the blessings of Jupiter, self-awareness, and a deeper connection with your inner self.
“Furthermore, this Rudraksha is known for balancing the Vishuddha Chakra or the Throat Chakra, which is the energy centre responsible for communication and expression. When this chakra is balanced, the wearer experiences enhanced clarity in speech and better communication skills, making it an excellent choice for those in leadership or public-speaking roles,” added Manyyaa.

Rules For Wearing 5 Mukhi Rudraksha
Astrologer Adlakkha mentioned that wearing the 5 Mukhi Rudraksha correctly and maintaining its sanctity helps derive its maximum benefits. “The Rudraksha should ideally be worn after being energised through a proper ritual, usually performed by a knowledgeable priest or guru. It is recommended to wear the bead on a Thursday, which is associated with Jupiter, the ruling planet of this Rudraksha,” she said.
“The Rudraksha can be worn around the neck or wrist, either as a single bead or as part of a mala (garland) with 108 beads. It should be strung on a silk or cotton thread or capped in silver or gold. While wearing the Rudraksha, it is advisable to recite the mantra “Om Hreem Namah” or “Om Namah Shivay” to invoke the blessings of Lord Shiva and enhance the bead's positive effects,” continued Manyyaa.
You must keep the Rudraksha clean and pure, and you should avoid touching it with dirty hands. You are advised not to wear it during activities that are considered impure as per the scriptures like consuming non-vegetarian food, drinking alcohol, or engaging in immoral acts.
